Mr. George “Tom” Thomas Jenkins passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, April 13, 2024 after a brief illness. Tom was born in Thunder Bay on March 27, 1934 to Margorie E. and George H. Jenkins. He worked as a warehouse manager for the Crown Paper company in Fort William.
Tom is survived by his wife, Juliana Dean Jenkins, stepsons J. Frederick Dean and Andrew J. Dean, nephews Matthew T. Jenkins (Fenna) and George E. Jenkins (Nora), and nieces Elizabeth M. McIntosh (Donald) and Nancy E. Ford (Michael). He is predeceased by his parents Margorie and George Jenkins, and his brother Maurice “Ted” Jenkins (Edith).
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the First Christian Reformed Church, led by Pastor Matthew Guichelaar. Burial at Stanley Hill Cemetery will take place prior to the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the Blake Funeral Chapel from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
