It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Maurice Chabot, from Manitouwadge, Ontario on April 29, 2024, at the age of 70.
Survived by his wife Judy, son Craig, daughter Melissa (Darren) and his precious grandchildren Abigail and David. Sister Julie & brother Gilbert. In-laws Lucille, Diane, Pam, Janet (Alan), Val, Ian, Gwen (Perry), Leigh, Debbie and numerous nieces and nephews.
Maurice was predeceased by his brothers Gerald, Lloyd, Roger, Bob, Mark and brothers-in-law Robin, John, and Lyle. Sisters Gisele, Diane, and sisters-in-law Judy, Nikki and Gail.
Maurice’s biggest passion in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. Maurice was always willing to give a helping hand. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. When fishing, he loved to put bets on “a buck for the first fish, a buck for the biggest fish and a buck for the most fish.” However, he never won. He will be sadly missed by his family.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the nursing staff and doctors at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital. The exceptional and compassionate care shown was gratefully appreciated.
As per Maurice’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no service will be held.
