Evaristo Luciano Campanotto of Thunder Bay, Ontario passed away on April 24th, 2024, peacefully at the age of 81 with family by his side.
Born to Itala and Italo Campanotto on February 22nd, 1943, in Udine Italy. Evaristo came to Canada at the age of 26 and started working construction, where he mastered masonry. He was a member of the local Union Liuna 607 where he continued to hone this skill until he retired. As a member of the Famee Furlane Thunder Bay, he was a proud Canadian who honoured his Italian roots.
Evaristo enjoyed hunting, fishing, making wine, and feeding his family with his traditional Italian cured meats. In his retirement years he continued to enjoy gardening, working with copper and his passion for his pond.
Evaristo is survived by his children, Patrizia (Eric), Steve (Cheryl), Rudy, Dario (Karen). Grandchildren, Marc (Kathryn) Jayme (Kennedy), Jill (Cody), Jessica (Scott), Rayna, Taran, Erin, Jason, and Joseph. Great Grandchildren, Avery, and Emmett. Brother Sergio Campanotto, sister Luciana Romagnoli and many more family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Itala and Italo and daughter-in-law Joy.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 9am at St Anthony’s Church, 123 Hilldale Road. Celebration of life at 11:30am at the Da Vinci Center on 340 Waterloo St S.
