THUNDER BAY – Magnus Theatre is looking for directors to take part in its 2024 10x10 Short Play Festival.

The 10 plays to be featured in this year’s event have been selected and Magnus Theatre is now looking for directors who will take part in helping to bring these plays to life.

“The quality of entries was exceptional across the board making the jobs of the jurors very difficult,” the theatre said in a social media post on Wednesday.

Magnus said that anyone interested in directing is invited to apply. Participants will gain a ton from directing, including experience directing at a professional theatre, learning new skills, learning from experienced theatre makers in “exciting ways,” and forging new connections with like-minded individuals in the community.

“Whether you have years of experience or just trying out for the first time, there is something to gain for everyone,” the theatre said.

The deadline for the call for directors is March 29. To register your interest, send an email to 10x10@magnustheatre.com by end of day on Friday.

Tickets for the short play festival, which will be held on June 7 and 8 are, already on sale and can be purchased online or by calling the box office at (807) 345-5552.
