THUNDER BAY -- City residents suffering from lung disease came together Wednesday to talk about their shared experiences.
Dozens of people attended the first meeting of Every Breath Counts, a new support group for people with lung disease.
Calvin Young is one of the group's co-founders. He's also living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a condition that causes severe breathing problems.
Young says support groups help people suffering from COPD and similar diseases, conditions that can seem alien to healthy people.
Wednesday’s launch of Every Breath Counts coincides with World COPD Day, and attendees wore gold ribbons to mark the occasion.
