Teddy Bears Picnic Scheduled for July 14

July 3, 2015 – It’s that time of the year again . . . Calling all teddy bears and their owners for the 33rd annual Teddy Bears Picnic, which is taking place Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

Parents, caregivers, children and their teddy bears are invited to Vickers Park for an afternoon of free crafts, activities and entertainment featuring The Grumpy Grampas, Rodney Brown and Jim ’n’ I.

“The Teddy Bears Picnic is a long-standing favourite event for young children and families,” said Dave Mossman, Events Supervisor. “With 33 years of history, we now see parents bringing their children to enjoy the event that they loved as a child.”

The Picnic begins at noon and runs until 3 pm. Highlights of the day include the Teddy Bear Parade and the Boo-Boo Bear Station where teddy bears can get a quick repair with a bandage or needle and thread.

Families can bring their own picnic or visit the numerous concessions on site for a tasty lunch or treat. Teddy Bears Picnic is a great way to spend a summer afternoon with family and friends enjoying lots of activities and entertainment.

Admission is FREE! For more information, please visit www.thunderbay.ca/picnic. In the event of rain, the Picnic will be moved indoors to Delaney Arena.
