This weekend marks the start of Free Family Fishing Week across Ontario. For the entire week, Ontarians are allowed to fish in the province’s lakes and streams without purchasing a fishing licence.
It's a chance for people of all ages to enjoy one of Canada's favourite outdoor activities in a fun and affordable way.
MNR officials caution, however, that non-residents are still required to purchase a licence.
