Model planes cruised Thunder Bay skies

THUNDER BAY - Members of Lakehead Aeromodellers Flying Club were out Saturday cruising the skies for their annual Airfest.

THUNDER BAY - Members of Lakehead Aeromodellers Flying Club were out Saturday cruising the skies for their annual Airfest.

The club was incorporated over thirty years ago and features flyers of all makes and models from prop planes to quadcopters and even jets.

The event attracts people from all walks of life who all share a love of flying.

This year they are expecting more than 30 model aircrafts flying around for the two-day event.

Archie Gribben is the president of LAFC and said that people are welcome to come down and try it out before committing to flying.
