THUNDER BAY -- About 10 vehicles had to be towed off of the Thunder Bay Expressway Wednesday morning following a chain reaction of collisions.
The incident happened between Oliver Road and the Harbour Expressway at around 8:30 a.m.
Despite the number of vehicles involved, no injuries were reported as a result of pile-up.
The sheer number of damaged vehicles, emergency crews and tow trucks restricted the flow of traffic on both sides of the Expressway to one lane for nearly an hour.
Thunder Bay detachment OPP Traffic Staff Sgt Ken Mantey says this is a good reminder, especially with the winter weather on its way, to be attentive and leave space between you and the other vehicles on the road.
