THUNDER BAY -- A north-side home needed to be evacuated after a nearby pickup truck caught fire Tuesday evening.
Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a blaze 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Rupert Street near John Street.
Firefighters say the pickup truck was parked near the home and a garage, which were both evacuated.
The garage did sustain some damage as a result of the fire, but fire platoon chief Joe Grzelewski told TBT News that the damage was minimal as the truck was not inside the structure at the time of the fire.
No foul play is suspect, and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
