Canada-wide issue affects debit, credit purchases at Target stores
THUNDER BAY -- Shoppers at Targets across Canada, including here in Thunder Bay, were temporarily forced to ditch their debit and credit cards for cash Tuesday.
Customers at Target stores in Canada could only pay with cash for about 90 minutes Tuesday afternoon due to a problem with the retailers main card processor.
The problem made it impossible for all stores of the retail giant process the credit and debit transactions.
The systems have since been restored, and all associated problems have been resolved.
