THUNDER BAY -- A group of North-side residents are expected to have their water turned back on Thursday after going more than 36 hours without it.

A water-main break early Wednesday morning left 26 homes on Lark Street without water. City Officials say it was tricky to find the actual leak because the street runs on a hill. Inches of frost in the ground and the extreme cold didn't help the situation. An excavator from the public works yard on the other side of the city was brought in Thursday to assist in the dig.

The break was located around 2:30 p.m. Repairs should be complete by Thursday evening.
