Kitchen fire causes smoke damage throughout Valley Street home

THUNDER BAY -- A Valley Street home suffered heavy smoke damage throughout as the result of a kitchen fire on Sunday evening. Thunder Bay Fire Rescue received the call at about 7:35 p.m. and arrived to find no visible signs of a blaze.

THUNDER BAY -- A Valley Street home suffered heavy smoke damage throughout as the result of a kitchen fire on Sunday evening.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue received the call at about 7:35 p.m. and arrived to find no visible signs of a blaze. However, upon opening the front door smoke began pouring out of the main level of the bi-level home.

Crews knocked the fire down quickly and brought it under control.

There were no injuries in the incident.
