THUNDER BAY -- A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with second degree murder, a day after a 25-year-old man was killed in a Limbrick Street housing complex.

In a release issued early Sunday morning, police say the youth, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was also charged with breach of recognizance and aggravated assault of a victim who remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Otis Perkins, 25, succumbed to his injuries after being stabbed early Friday morning.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled and police say the investigation continues.
