THUNDER BAY -- A scare for residents of a condominium on Van Norman Street Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the 400 block of Van Norman Street just after 1 p.m. when a fire broke out in an SUV and spread into a garage of the three-storey condominium.
Fire crews extinguished the vehicle, which prevented the fire spreading to the condo unit.
There was extensive damage to the vehicle, but only minor damage to the structures.
There were no reported injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
