THUNDER BAY -- Job-seekers of all ages and skill levels should update their resumes before heading to tomorrow’s Opportunities Northwest Job Fair at the Valhalla Hotel and Conference Centre.

The job fair will have booths staffed by more than 90 different companies from a variety of sectors, who are seeking employees at all levels.

It will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Scandia, the ballroom, and in the ballroom lobby.

Nancy Milani, event consultant, said anyone looking for employment or seeking other positions should definitely attend.

“Last year we saw 1,700 people. Given the fact there are more employers than ever, which means more opportunities for job seekers, we expect a great turnout,” Milani said.

Some of the biggest names in the regional and local economies have signed up, including Greenstone Gold Mines, Newmont Corp., Barrick Gold, St. Joseph’s Care Group, Bayshore Home Health, the Canadian Armed Forces, the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board, Fort William Historical Park, the Power Centre, Equipment World, and more.

There will be plenty of opportunities for every ability and interest as the demand is high for employees in Thunder Bay and the region, Milani said.

This is the third year that Dougall Media, owners of this website, have organized the Opportunities Northwest Job Fair.
