THUNDER BAY – Linda Ballantyne and Toby Proctor will be at this year’s ThunderCon, happening Sept. 21 and 22 at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition grounds.
Ballantyne is a voice actress known for playing the title role of Serena Tsukino/Sailor Moon in the second half of the original English dub of Sailor Moon. Proctor played the iconic Tuxedo Mask in both series.
“I love doing Canadian Cons,” Ballantyne said. “Sailor Moon at your service!”
Heather Dickson, ThunderCon’s media director, said they couldn’t be more delighted to have these individuals coming to the city.
“These two Canadian voice actors practically shaped an entire generation.”
“Thunder Bay has a thriving anime community,” Dickson said.
“And we hope that they will be as thrilled as we are. Sailor Moon was also an introduction for many North American kids into Japanese storytelling and animation, so to have two of this iconic show’s main stars is a real gem for us.”
Earlier this year, ThunderCon announced that Jed Rees and Patrick Kwok-Choon would also be guests.
