THUNDER BAY -- Traffic on the Thunder Bay Expressway was disrupted after a transport caught fire.
A blaze consumed a tractor trailer believed to be carrying wood chips on the highway near the Balsam Street intersection on Tuesday morning.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue firefighters were on scene extinguishing the stubborn blaze and OPP officers were called to direct traffic.
The two lanes travelling towards Red River Road were closed, with one lane in each direction set up on the other half of the roadway.
