A pick-up truck slammed into the side of a Porcupine Boulevard home early Wednesday morning, seriously damaging the structure in the process.

Police say they arrested the 48-year-old male driver of the truck and charged him with impaired driving and drive over .08 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.

The suspect, who police did not name, will appear in court at a later date.

It appears the driver realized a wood and concrete barricade was in place along Parkdale Boulevard, and he swerved to avoid them, jumping the curb and crashing into the brick front of the home. Wooden boards now cover what once was the residence's front door, and a pile of rubble remains crumbled across the front steps.

No one was injured in the collision.

Glyder says:
Why? Just so YOU can "know" who it is? Are you going to go to his house and publicly shame him for his act? Taunt him in the street?

What purpose could knowing his name possibly serve?

Winger says:
What purpose does it serve to keep his name private?

Just in case its you? You don't want anybody to know what sort of things you are up to? You want to be able to break the law without the possibility of being taunted in the street?

or are you just concerned more about criminal's rights than the rights of the law abiding public?

SOrry Wingnut, it wasn't me, I have to be at work in the morning, not driving drunk in the am. I just don't understand what knowing the "drunks" name will accomplish, other than a satisfying yourself that "it wasn't me".

Do you ask to know every single persons name that gets pulled over and ticketed? Cause they are criminals too. Did you ask for the names of all 78 speeders that got tickets the other day? Same thing.

You want the guys name, goto court and find it out for yourself.

And, interestingly enough, you spout off about rights, EVERYONE has rights, even criminals.

Wingnut, how is not releasing the accused's name violating the "rights of the law abiding public"? Since when do I have the right to know every criminal's name? Where is this document? It was probably you and you're out on probation.
