Geraldton hospital to receive major upgrade

GERALDTON, Ont. -- Major upgrades are on the way for the Geraldton District Hospital's emergency department. The province has announced funding of $9 million for a major re-development of the Unit.

GERALDTON, Ont. -- Major upgrades are on the way for the Geraldton District Hospital's emergency department.

The province has announced funding of $9 million for a major re-development of the Unit. 

The project will see the emergency department, which was opened in 1962, relocated from the basement to the main floor of the hospital.  

The department will also grow in size by about 50 per cent to almost 7,500 square feet.
