THUNDER BAY -- A pair of would-be robbers had to leave empty handed after a gas station clerk refused their demands for money.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials say the attempted robbery took place at a Red River Road gas bar just after midnight Monday.

One of the two men entered the store and demanded money while a second suspect held the doors.

The employee, however, refused to comply with the man’s demands. Both suspects fled the scene.

Police say no one was injured as a result of this incident, and the investigation continues.

Descriptions of the suspects were not available.
