Motorcyclist involved in highway crash dies in hospital

DRYDEN, Ont. -- A motorcycle driver involved in a collision near Dryden has died of injuries sustained in the crash.

DRYDEN, Ont. -- A motorcycle driver involved in a collision near Dryden has died of injuries sustained in the crash.

Daniel Badiuk, 37, was pronounced dead on Tuesday at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre after being airlifted for treatment on July 21.

The collision involved a passenger vehicle traveling westward onto Highway 17 from Bedworth Road, and Badiuk’s motorcycle, traveling eastbound on the highway.

The 20-year-old female driver of the vehicle has been charged with fail to yield to traffic on through highway.
