THUNDER BAY -- One of the city’s most historic landmarks is getting a facelift.

The 105-year-old St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church beside City Hall is getting new ceiling panels put in after two of them collapsed last year.

In July 2013, the church had two of its ceiling panels crash into the main area of the Sanctuary.  No one was in the room when it occurred.

The reason for the collapse was undetermined, so to be safe church officials decided to replace all the tiles.

Because the building is older than 100 years old, there are many precautions that needed to be taken to protect its contents.

The $200,000 restoration project is slated to complete in November.
