FORT WILLIAM FIRST NATIONS, Ont. -- The land is cleared and ready to go for the new housing development on Fort William First Nation.

The forest has been flattened for the subdivision on Little Lake Road, which will become twenty new housing units.

Chief Peter Collins says there was a delay in the build because of hydro issues.

But now that they've been resolved, his members can expect to see new homes being built on the land shortly.

The original price tag for the development was $1.8 million, but Collins says they may go a little over.

There is no set date for when all the homes on the subdivision are scheduled to be completed.
