Drowning in Ear Falls claims life of 49-year-old woman

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a drowning on the English River. In a release issued on Sunday night, police say the body of a 49-year-old woman was recovered from the water in the town of Ear Falls, near the Bailey bridge on Hwy. 804.

In a release issued on Sunday night, police say the body of a 49-year-old woman was recovered from the water in the town of Ear Falls, near the Bailey bridge on Hwy. 804.

She was pronounced dead as a result of a police investigation.

The OPP’s Northwest Region Crime Unit is assisting the coroner’s office with the investigation and the circumstances surrounding the untimely death.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled.

Police have not released the name of the deceased.
