Mr. Mark Evan Gronlund, age 70 years, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
Mark was born in Fort William on July 5, 1953 and raised on a farm in Pearson Township. He worked as a Millwright for Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, Great West Timber and Bowater Sawmill. Mark was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing and camping his entire life.
Mark is survived by his sisters, Ivy (Dave) and Holly (Doug); niece Lea and nephew Doug Jr. He was predeceased by his mother Lea in 1962 and father Olavi in 1990.
A Celebration of Mark's Life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at the Vickers Heights Community Centre. Should friends so desire, donations made in Mark's memory to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
