On April 25th, at the age of 81, Sandy passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her whole family who stayed by her side until the very end.
Sandy was a proud and loving Mom, Mother-in-law, Grandma/Nanny, and Great Grandma. Her family was everything to her and she was truly the Rock and Centre of the family. She had the biggest heart and always had an open door at her home on Balsam Street, where she welcomed any & all to celebrate the holidays or just to pop in for a cup of coffee.
She loved her summers (and winters) at the family camp on Northern Lights Lake, shopping trips to Duluth and trips to Dryden. Her biggest joy was becoming a Grandma and Great-Grandma. She was always happy to babysit anytime and loved having sleepovers and bringing all the kids to camp, often several at a time. This is what made her the happiest.
Sandy will be sadly missed by her children Jim, Cindy (Peter), Wendy (Brian), Rick (Angela) and Dan (Carrie). Grandchildren Shawn, Sherri, Kyle, Collin, Cory, Kody, Justin, Spencer, Mason, Christopher, Gavin, Lucas, Brett, Sammi, Melissa, Kaydee and their families, 12 great grandchildren and her sisters Karen & Debbie.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years Jim, her son Randy, parents Marg & Lloyd and sister Brenda.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday May 2nd at 11:00am in the 3rd floor Auditorium at Pioneer Ridge Long Term Care.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pioneer Ridge Plaza 4, as well as TBRHSC unit 2B for all the wonderful care mom received.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pioneer Ridge Therapeutic Recreation Department for Resident Programming.
Mom, you are now reunited with Dad & Randy and although our hearts are broken, we will forever cherish all that you have shared with us and all the memories we have.
We miss you already and we love you tons xo
