LETTER: Downtown location a failure for event centre

To the editor: As per a letter to the editor in the Thunder Bay Source on the location of the event center by councillor-at-large candidate Diane Armstrong, she states the downtown location is the best location for the event centre.

To the editor:

As per a letter to the editor in the Thunder Bay Source on the location of the event center by councillor-at-large candidate Diane Armstrong, she states  the downtown location is the best location for the event centre.

She states that anyone who knows the economy, the accounting, and marketing would know that, for fiscal responsibility the best location is downtown.

In all of those areas she has studied  all with an A grade.

In my book she has failed with an F grade.

Anyone with common sense should be able to realize that the downtown location  is not the best place.

Take Sault Ste Marie for example. They have a beautiful sports arena located in the downtown area. During a special hockey game or event try to find a parking spot to go to a restaurant. Try to go shopping. Try to get out to go home.

Good luck.

Innova park has three major entrance and exit  points. Oliver Road, Golflinks Road and the Harbor expressway. Parking can be abundant with all the space available.

I am not against the event centre, just the proposed downtown location.

Do the math Diane. The best location is certainly not the downtown  location.
