LETTER: Parking issue becoming costly

To the editor: Progressive plan? When is enough enough? Thunder Bay city council has dropped the ball on the entire event centre issue. Earlier this year they told us that the 200 parking space inside the arena were not necessary.

To the editor:

Progressive plan? When is enough enough? Thunder Bay city council has dropped the ball on the entire event centre issue. Earlier this year they told us that the 200 parking space inside the arena were not necessary.

And there were plenty spots in the former core. If it wasn't a must have in the development than why are they buying up properties that pay taxes and converting them into places that require taxes from the city taxpayers?

Thunder Bay's own planning department states that as an arena or place of amusement that for every four fixed seats and for every 40 square feet their must be at least one parking spot. Why has Thunder Bay city council ignored its own planning department regulations?

How much more money is this project going to cost taxpayers?

Thunder Bay
