Re: double standards for racism

On March 20 I read an article on tbnewswatch.com regarding a racist Facebook page "Police investigate racist Facebook pages targeting local Aboriginal community." Tbnewswatch.com had refused to post links to this page in order to avoid promoting racist sentiment.

While I applaud tbnewswatch's commitment to protecting the community from racist remarks, I question the integrity of the editor as he allowed another minority group to become the target of a racist remark.

On Feb. 22, a commentator called Eastender posted a rabidly, anti-Muslim comment on tbnewswatch.com.  This comment remained on the tbnewswatch website for several weeks until I called tbnewswatch to complain.  When I spoke with the website manager, I expressed my dismay that this racist comment had been allowed to remain on tbnewswatch.com for such a long period of time.  When I asked how tbnewswatch.com could have allowed this racist comment to appear, I was informed that it was the public's duty to flag inappropriate comments.

Why does tbnewswatch have double standards for racism?  Doesn't racism hurt all of us?

Patiently waiting for an answer,
