The Northwoods League baseball team is hoping fans in Thunder Bay can come to their rescue.

“We’ve got about half the players placed right now, and we’ve got a month to go,” team owner Brad Jorgenson said on Tuesday.

Teams play a 70-game schedule from June to mid-August, but the players are on the road half the time and at the ballpark a good chunk of the time they’re actually in Thunder Bay.

In exchange for room-and-board, the entire host family gets season tickets to the Border Cats home games.

For more information, phone 766-2287 or email the team at baseball@tbaytel.net.
