Ryan McDonald first local to complete 2014 Boston Marathon

Ryan McDonald is the top local runner to cross the finish line at the Boston Marathon. McDonald completed the prestigious race in 2:58:01, the 1916th runner to finish the race.

McDonald completed the prestigious race in 2:58:01, the 1916th runner to finish the race. He’s one of at least 11 Thunder Bay runners taking part in the annual event, taking place a little more than a year after the 2013 race was halted after a deadly explosion rocked the finish-line area.

McDonald was followed across the line by Marcia Migay, the first local female finisher. Migay crossed the line with a net time of 3:19:42.

The next local runner to finish was Darren Sneve, with a time of 3:24:16.
