THUNDER BAY – The success of the Toronto Blue Jays has made it difficult for at least one local business to keep merchandise on its shelves

Owner of Overtime Sports John McGuaig says it’s been tough to find items to bring into the store, and once it’s finally made its way to the shelf it’s gone before long.

“There’s a playoff hat for the Blue Jays, and unfortunately we haven’t seen that for 20 years,” McGuaig said during an interview with CKPR Radio.

“So there’s special stuff that’s made special for the playoffs that we can’t keep in here … and we get call after call after call.”

The demand has led some people to ask to be added to a waiting list for some merchandise.
