THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay major midget Kings are off to Troy, Mich., this weekend to compete in the Troy Top Shelf North American Future Prospects tournament.
A total of 16 teams will be competing in the under-18 division with Thunder Bay’s first game slated for noon on Friday vs. the Kensington Valley Rebels of Michigan.
Two more tilts are on the major midget’s docket Saturday starting with a 1:55 p.m. match-up with the North Pittsburgh Wildcats.
That will be followed up with an 8:20 p.m. encounter against the Carmel Gold Icehounds of Indiana.
Round robin play for the Kings concludes Sunday at 12:15 p.m. when the club takes on AWP Elite from Fort Wayne, Ind.
Game action for Thunder Bay will then conclude Monday in either semifinal action or a consolation contest.
