A 17-0 run to start the fourth quarter powered the Laurier Golden Hawks to a decisive home-court win Saturday night over the visiting Lakehead Thunderwolves.

Lakehead was led by another standout performance from Thunder Bay’s own Katelyn Andrea, who posted 16 points and 13 boards in defeat.

Bridget O’Reilly had 14 for the Wolves, landing three of LU’s four three-pointers on the night.

Nicole Morrison did the most damage for the Golden Hawks, scoring a game-high 17. Kaitlyn Schenck had 15 for the victors.

The Wolves (5-10) return home next weekend for games against Toronto and Ryerson, trying to snap a three-game losing slide.
