THUNDER BAY -- The Thunder Bay Border Cats have added a pair of Virginia Cavaliers to their infield.

The Northwoods League team on Sunday announced freshmen Jack Weiller and Andy Weber have agreed to join the team in 2016.
Both come with impressive high-school pedigrees.

Weber was an all-Ohio and academic all-Ohio player in his senior season, batting .433 with 10 triples and 29 doubles.

The Aurora, Ohio native stepped into the Virginia lineup this season, hitting .267 in 30 appearances while driving in 10 runs.

Weiller was a three-time all-New York nominee in high school and was named to the all-Northeast Region team in 2015 after batting .397 with five home runs and 61 RBI at John Jay-Cross River High School, winning 66 games, a team record.

He’s appeared in just two games with the Cavaliers in 2016.
