The Border Cats on Tuesday announced the commitment of two juniors, outfielder Jesse Lee as well as shortstop and pitcher Matt Murphy, from the University of Rhode Island to their lineup.

Lee has established himself as a solid defensive outfielder, sporting a .929 fielding percentage while also scoring seven runs. He previously played for Louisiana State University.

Murphy, formerly of Massachusetts' Assumption College, started 38 games at shortstop with a .341 batting average in 38 games and was named a Northeast-10 third team all-conference utility player. He also appeared in nine games as a reliever.

The Border Cats open their campaign on May 31 as they host the Mankato MoonDogs.
