THUNDER BAY - The Can-Am Police-Fire Games have drawn athletes from around the world to Thunder Bay.

On Friday, a Gold Medal trapshooter from the Isle of Man showed the city what he's made of.

The small island with a population of about 85 thousand people is located in the Irish Sea, between England and Ireland.

Neil Parsons is a firefighter for the Isle of Man Fire Service, and competed in the 2015 World Police and Fire Games where he took home gold in trapshooting.

At the Thunder Bay Trap and Sheet Club, Parsons enjoyed his time shooting but was really impressed with how friendly Canadians are.

He said he has travelled the world shooting, and admits he had never heard of Thunder Bay before, but he has been enjoying every minute of the games, and being in our city.

Parsons added that the games in general have been well organized, saying that everyone has been friendly and helpful.
