Local MMA fighter makes his combat sports comeback at Kenora kickboxing event

Curtis Richard, 20, owner and coach of Undisputed Fight Academy in Thunder Bay competed this past weekend in Nak Muay Thai's second show in in Kenora this past weekend K-Town Throwdown II Rumble at the Rec in the Kenora rec center

Curtis "Dirty Curty" Richard (0-0 kickboxing) (3-1 MMA), a member of UFC veteran Jesse Bongfelds United Fighter Team, came out strong and dominated his opponent Jon Bonillo (1-0 kickboxing) landing vicious body shots for a TKO win in the second round. 

Jesse Bongfeldt's United Fighter Team won four of their seven fights on the card much to the approval of the crowd.  

This win marks Curty's successful return to combat sports after two years of battling and eventually fully recovering from intestinal issues.

After the event the WKF officials overseeing the show were so impressed with Curty's performance they offered him a spot to try out for the nationals in September with a chance to compete in Italy.
