From Marathon, Rick Dumas was elected mayor there in 2006 after years on town council. He’s also run a number of businesses. “I’ve done a great job for our municipality, and I think I can do a great job for Thunder Bay-Superior North,” he told Newswatch.

Currently in his second term as a Thunder Bay city councillor, Brian Hamilton has also run a popular local coffee shop for years. He has told Newswatch that he calls himself a pro-business candidate who will help fight the challenges facing small businesses.

Lise Vaugeois has been the Thunder Bay-Superior North MPP since 2022, holding opposition critic roles when the legislature was in session. She’s also an academic and classical musician. She has cited highway safety, healthcare funding, and First Nations health concerns among priorities.
