THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Border Cats will have to wait an extra day to welcome the La Crosse Loggers to Port Arthur Stadium.

Friday's matchup between the two Northwoods League sides has been postponed after the Border Cats bus experienced mechanical issues shortly after leaving Waterloo, Iowa on Thursday night after dropping a 15-8 decision to the Waterloo Bucks.

With the team not expected to be back in Thunder Bay in time for Friday's 6:35 p.m. start, the Border Cats and Loggers will now play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 4:05 p.m.

Both contests will be seven innings in length.

The Border Cats have also announced that any fans with tickets for Friday's game can redeem them for any other 2024 regular season matchup, including Saturday's doubleheader.
