Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is teaming up with Barrett-Jackson for charity. And it’s quite a pair of cars that will be auctioned off this coming June.
As a matter of fact, the automaker decided to sell the very last 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon built, and the last 2017 Dodge Viper built… together. A tantalising package deal, to say the least.
The two cars will hit the stage at the Barrett-Jackson Northeast auction, to be held June 20-23 in Uncasville, Connecticut.
These two brutes will boast the same paint colour, called Viper Red, and exclusive badging. The Demon features a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 that develops up to 840 horsepower, cloth and Alcantara seats as well as the famous Demon Crate that contains the performance powertrain control module and narrow front drag tires. As for the Viper, it gets carbon fibre exterior trim as well as leather and Alcantara seats, while a 645-horsepower, naturally aspirated 8.4-litre V10 lurks under its long hood.
We’re obviously expecting the final bid for obtaining these two collectable beasts to be quite high. In 2014, the very first 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat produced was auctioned off for USD$1.65 million. This dynamic duo should easily top the two-million-dollar mark. The entire sum will be handed over to the United Way.
