Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Intake Manager, the Intake Screener receives referrals, reports or information regarding a child that may be in need of protection in accordance with provisions of the Child and Family Services Act, Ministry Regulations and Standards, Abuse Protocols, Differential Response, Dilico’s policies and procedures and Dilico’s Mikinaak Service Delivery Model.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A minimum two-year Human Services Diploma is required. A three-year BSW is preferred
A minimum two years experience with Anishinabek children, youth, individuals and families; preferably Child Welfare experience
Satisfactory Criminal Records Search
Required to work flexible hours, travel regularly and to act on an “on-call” basis as determined by the respective Service Manager in relation to service requirements
Must possess a Class “G” Driver’s License, possess a clean driving record and have access to a personal vehicle which will pass a safety inspection
Must have appropriate vehicle insurance – Business Use endorsement and a 3rd party liability coverage of one million dollars
Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week
