Invites applications for the position of
Outreach Crisis Counsellor (Full-Time Contract Position ending March 31, 2027)
Reporting to the Community Services Supervisor and the Director of Programs and Staff, the Outreach Crisis Counsellor provides support, advocacy, and crisis intervention to survivors of violence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide case management, needs assessments, and goal planning.
• Assist with safety planning, housing, and advocacy.
• Respond to walk-in and crisis calls.
• Collaborate with Child and Youth Support Worker staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Provide parenting support and conflict resolution.
WORK SCHEDULE:
• 37.5 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM with one unpaid hour for lunch.
• Hours may fluctuate to accommodate the needs of the women and children we serve.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Diploma or degree in social services or related field.
• Skills:
o Experience working with survivors of violence and marginalized populations.
o Knowledge of local resources.
o Conflict resolution and crisis management skills.
o Clear criminal record check.
o CPR/First Aid and language skills are assets.

COMPENSATION:
• Starting Wage: $29.48 - $31.93
