Badanai Motors is looking for a New Vehicle Sales Manager. The New Vehicle Sales Manager is the leader on the sales floor. Responsible for ensuring the continued success of the sales department, the New Vehicle Sales Manager manages the flow of new vehicles, sets sales goals, hires sales staff and is responsible for training and promotions to ensure targets are met.

KEY RESPONSIBIITIES:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the sales department
Direct supervisor of all Sales Consultants, F&I staff, Delivery Specialist & Lot Porters/Detailers
Plans dealership sales operations and targets for the upcoming year in conjunction with the General Manager
Responsible for sales operations expenses
Keep current on all vehicle sales laws and ensure dealership complies
Assist in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions along with monitoring the effectiveness of these efforts
Hire, train, motivate, guide, and evaluate performance of sales staff
Manage the activities of sales staff and conduct daily sales meetings
Assist sales people in the closing of deals
Prepare sales reports for the senior leadership of the dealership, including, but not limited to, the General Manager
Establish administrative policies and procedures for the department including customer prospect systems, follow-up calls and records, sales analyses, and inventory data
Order new vehicles in sufficient quantity and mix to support current forecast and market share
Appraise used vehicles presented for trade when the Used Car Manager is unavailable
Review all documents pertaining to sale of vehicles to assure proper completion
Arrange for the proper displaying of vehicles, including but not limited to, ensuring proper cleaning takes place, and displays compliment dealership goals
Calculate commissions and input RDRs
Perform monthly reconciliations with the Controller of the Accounts Receivables to ensure that accounts are kept up-to-date and out of arrears and taking necessary action to make vendors remit payment if accounts found to be outstanding
Track the usage of G/L accounts assigned to the Manager to monitor expenditures, balance budgets and reach profitability targets via the PO system and accounting reports
Attend outside functions and meetings as required
Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:

Post secondary education is desired, but priority is given to experience and proven results
5+ years of sales experience, preferably within a dealership setting
A solid understanding of a new and used vehicle dealership environment, sales, finance and marketing
Proficient computer skills
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on motivation and an understanding of the different roles within a dealership
Strong, demonstrated, management skills
