About the tour

In the morning you will have time to shop at St. Jacobs Farmers Market, a much-loved tradition. Still home to the largest population of Old Order Mennonites in Canada. We often see farmers on local roads travelling to the market by horse & buggy. Visit the Market to see hundreds of vendors selling a variety of items from food to art, collectibles and more. We have lots of room for you to bring a cooler for your purchases.

We will have a lovely made from scratch lunch at Anna Mae’s Bakery & Restaurant. Anna Mae’s is a family owned & operated Mennonite Restaurant and Bakery. They specialize in Mennonite cooking and baking and offer a variety of baked goods. After lunch we will drive to the Hamilton Family Theatre.

Enjoy the matinee performance of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Winner of the Tony Award® for Best Musical and acclaimed by audiences and critics as a “knock-’em-dead, uproarious hit,” A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder is an outrageous romp filled with unforgettable music and non-stop laughs! In 1907 London England, penniless clerk Monty Navarro is delighted to learn that he’s eighth in line for an earldom in the esteemed D’Ysquith family. Figuring the odds of outliving his predecessors are slight, he sets off down a sinister path knocking off his relatives one by one with his sights set on the family title and fortune. All the while, this loveable cad has to juggle his mistress (she’s after more than just love), his fiancée (she’s his cousin, but who’s keeping track?), and the constant threat of being caught! Don’t miss this hilarious whodunit adored by murder mystery and musical theatre lovers alike.
