At OFRA, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for our residents and we are looking for a dynamic and driven Manager of Finance to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Manager of Finance will play a vital role in creating a supportive environment for our residents and staff. The Manager of finance is a strategic partner in the senior management team.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Preparation of year-end external audit working papers, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and champion planning and reporting for business lines operational managers.
• Prepare provincial and federal regulatory reports within appropriate deadlines.
• Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Plan and maintain organizational budgets
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by management.
Qualifications
• University degree in Business or Accounting
• CPA Designation
• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deal tactfully with the public.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, group facilitation skills and critical thinking.
• Advanced computer skills including demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Dynamics GP or other computerized accounting software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy as well as problem analysis capabilities.
