Henderson Metal is a leading provider of heating and air conditioning services in the Sault Ste Marie and surrounding areas since 1954. We are expanding and are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team.
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will play a critical role in our projects, ensuring the safe installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and control systems. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical codes, blueprints and equipment as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team on residential, commercial and industrial sites.
Responsibilities
- install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment according to local codes and regulations
- install BMS control systems
- read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and schematics
- troubleshoot electrical and control systems to diagnose and correct issues
- ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards and protocols
- collaborate with project managers, contractors and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- mentor and supervise apprentice electricians as needed
Qualifications
- valid Journeyman Electrician license 309A
- 2 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance
- valid driver's license
- Electrical Engineering Technician or Technologist and knowledge of HVAC systems will be considered an asset
- control experience will be considered an asset
- proficiency in reading electrical blueprints and schematics
- strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code
- ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Working at Heights, Confined Spaces and other safety training a plus ++
