Position Overview

The Medical Radiation Technologist works collaboratively with the Diagnostic Imaging team to provide excellence in all diagnostic procedures such as general radiography, mammography, bone densitometry and utilizes professional judgment and expertise in order to produce high quality diagnostic images. 

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Ontario College Diploma
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate may possess: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities  

  • Demonstrated ability to perform high quality general radiography procedures
  • Mammography and bone densitometry experience an asset but not required 
  • Demonstrated care and safety of patients prior to, during, and following the examination
  • Demonstrated ability using computer software systems
  • Well-developed self-awareness, self-management and social awareness skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service evidenced by well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A solid track record of maintaining privacy and confidentiality in the workplace
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive successful working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and interdependently as an active member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated effort in living the values of GHC

Compensation:

$34.19 – $42.71 (commensurate with experience)
Comprehensive Benefit Package & Enrolment in Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
