We are looking for a detail-oriented, energetic, positive and friendly member to join our team as a bookkeeper on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all the financial transactions of the firm on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain detailed general ledgers, and track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial dealings.
• Complete data entry and postings accurately.
• Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly and yearly).
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure timely processing of payroll, regular remittances and bank and trust account reconciliations.
• Work with our accountant to ensure the timely completion of annual Year End financial reports.
Skills:
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Very detail oriented and a strategic thinker.
• Have hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial software.
The successful candidate must have effective interpersonal skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be dependable, and able to work without supervision.
Qualifications:
• Bookkeeping Experience
• Law Firm Bookkeeping experience is an asset
• Knowledge of or ability to be trained on law practice specific bookkeeping software
